PPR Capital Management Announces Investment Team Leadership Transition

Spencer Staples, who has served as Chief Investment Officer at PPR Capital Management for the past three years, will move into a new role as Chief Economist, focusing on forecasting and translating economic indicators into PPR’s business processes. He will continue his role as one of Bloomberg’s top consensus contributors.

“We appreciate Spencer’s three years as CIO, and the evolution of our investment thesis and portfolio during that time. His contribution and leadership have been especially valued during our recent organizational transitions. He will now focus on economic and real estate market forecasting, where he brings considerable expertise and many accomplishments,” said Dave Van Horn, Chief Executive Officer of PPR.

Craig Johnsen will step into the CIO role. Craig has served as PPR’s Chief Asset Officer for the past two years, where he played a pivotal role enhancing surveillance across the firm’s asset portfolio and designing and managing PPR’s newest funds. Craig was mentored by Spencer throughout his time at PPR.

Craig will assume the CIO role effective immediately.
